Newsletter - January 2026 - Start of season, instructors, City trip, Kata and inspirationtraining, Membership of Ju-Jitsu Denmark and Summer camp

Season start with a new feature
We start training on Tuesday, 6 January at 6:15 p.m. We look forward to seeing lots of active participants on the mat again. It's the usual place, so you can easily find your way there.

We now also offer training on Sundays.
To make it easy for you, it is at the same time and place as Tuesday and Thursday. The fee remains the same, and you get 50% more training.
The training is, of course, for anyone who wants to participate. So now you can get three training sessions a week, or you can get a second training session if you have not been able to attend every Tuesday or Thursday.

Instructors
Peter B has Tuesdays and Simon has Thursdays and Sundays. In the middle of the season, Peter R takes over Tuesdays and Valerii takes over Thursdays. You can find an overview of the instructor distribution at Trainer overview.

Grading
On 24 January at 12 noon, we will be grading two people for blue belt. Come along and help cheer them on.

City trip in Aarhus
On 28 February, we are going on a city trip. It is open to anyone who has the time and inclination. We will find a place to eat and then take a little tour of the city. As usual, everything is at your own expense.
Expect us to start around 6 p.m. and finish when the last people go home. There will be an opportunity to stay overnight in the Dojo if you live too far away.
Write to info@aarhusjiujitsu.dk and sign up now. More information about the location will follow when we have everything in place.

Kata and inspiration training

Held on 7 and 8 March. Location to follow as soon as we know.
Saturday is for kata training. Primarily Ebo-no kata, which is part of the curriculum for orange belt (4th kyu) and above.
Sunday will be inspiration training for everyone. There will be content for your graduation.
There is every reason to sign up, besides the fact that it is a mandatory course for everyone who expects to graduate. Everyone will take something home with them.

Registration will take place on the DJU portal when it is ready. Please note that you must register for each day individually and remember to register for meals.
Remember that we are part of Aarhus Judo Club when you register.

If this is your first time attending a camp, you can find practical information at practical information about camps.

Summer camp
In 2026, the summer camp will again be held in week 27. Once again, it will be a big event with lots of training, socialising, activities and other fun.
Mark the whole week in your calendar now so that you don't accidentally schedule something else for that week.
Invitations and information about the location will be sent out as soon as we have them.

Membership of Ju-Jitsu Denmark.
To participate in the above, you must be a member of Ju-Jitsu Denmark.
You can become a member by registering at Ju-Jitsu registration if you have not already done so.
All active members of Aarhus Jiu-Jitsu must be members, as we have previously written about! This also applies to you.

Please do this now so that everything is in place for everyone before the end of January.

Transport to events
For all events, we try to use shared transport as much as possible, both for financial reasons and for the sake of the environment. Once we have an overview of how many people are coming, we will arrange shared transport to and from the event.

Self-defence for women
We are starting a new team with training every Thursday from 4.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. from 29 January, which will run until April. Last time, the team filled up in no time.

With sporting regards
