Training sessions
It's hard to get our arms down over our training sessions. There are many participants. We have a strong team who come regularly. Our new trainers have been well received on the team. New people come and try out almost every week.
Just to make sure everyone is aware of it, there is training every week on both Tuesday and Thursday 18.15 - 20.00.

Once we have an overview of how many people are coming, we will organise joint driving there and home again.

This is a mandatory course for all yellow belts and above. Everyone is of course welcome. The sooner you start these courses, the more you'll get out of them.

Anniversary training in Skovlunde
Skovlunde Jiu-Jitsu is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and is therefore having an anniversary training on 26 and 27 October. It starts on Saturday at 13.00 and ends on Sunday at 13.00. The formal invitations will be sent out as soon as we receive them.
Due to the occasion, Skovlund's coaches will be in charge of the training. It's going to be great.
Sign up at info@aarhusjiujitsu.dk as soon as possible and no later than 15 October.
Christmas lunch
We start this year's event with Pole Dancing and then we find a place in town and enjoy some catering. As usual, it's at your own expense and we'll keep going until the last people go home 🙂
Poledancing will be free of charge, as we exchange with a training for their members.
As we need to plan the date with Poledance, the date hasn't been finalised yet. We are tentatively aiming for Saturday 30 November.
More details about the final date, registration and practicalities will be in one of the next newsletters.
Graduation and National Graduation
The next graduation in the club will be in mid-December. It applies to everyone who is going up to one of the first three belts (yellow, orange, green).
It will probably be spread over two times, as we have many who seem to be ready.
If you're going for brown or black belt, you have to go to National Graduation. It's held every year on the first Saturday in December (and the first Saturday in June).
It usually takes place somewhere other than your own club, as there are several people from all over the country going up. The location is unknown at the moment.
We have two people currently training for black belt, so there might also be an opportunity to go on a trip, if anyone wants to go as an audience.
Self-defence for women
We've been asked about the class, which we've started up for the first time in Aarhus.
We quickly filled the class with the 16 participants, we had set as a maximum. There is even a waiting list.
We've held the first two training sessions and the team is working really well. Everyone has someone to train with. There's lots of activity. Everyone gets to laugh and learn something.
We're looking forward to running through the whole programme and giving everyone a good experience, some useful techniques and more confidence than they already have.
